Rosemount Analytical PERpH-X® High Performance pH / ORP sensors incorporate several design innovations that prolong the life of the pH sensor in difficult hot processes. High temperatures, fouling, coating and poisoning conditions cause increased deterioration of the glass pH sensing membrane, increased depletion of the reference electrolyte, and increased thermal stress on all sensor components.

The PERpH-X® HT sensors contain an enhanced double junction reference that is excellent for extreme applications. The outer gel based reference retains viscosity to resist the pumping actions of temperature and pressure. A custom refill kit including a gel filled syringe is available as an accessory. Preventative maintenance of the outer reference can extend the ultimate life of the pH/ORP sensor considerably by preventing concentration changes in the inner reference. Reference flow into the process stream is controlled using a porous Teflon junction that can be replaced in the event of fouling or plugging. The specially designed junction is chemically resistant and has a large surface area to maintain a steady reference signal in dirty or oily applications.

Designed for accuracy and stability in a heat intensive application, the new PUR-Sense™ 3800 series pH sensors are optimized for autoclaving and steam sterilization. Building on PERpH-X® and AccuGlass® technology, the 3800 sensors exhibit unparalleled stability after exposure to high temperature sterilization.

The 3800 series is available in three different insertion lengths, 120 mm, 225 mm and 325 mm. The 3800VP has a PT100 ohm RTD mounted inside the pH glass stem for automatic temperature compensation. The 3800 has no integral temperature sensor and is supplied with a coaxial S8 Pg 13.5 connector. .

pH/ORP Sensor - Disposable (399)
The reference junction aids in the sensor’s resistance to poisoning ions and helps prolong sensor life. Models 399 and 399VP are provided with a double junction reference, which protects the reference element from poisoning ions such as ammonia, chlorine, cyanides, and sulfides in the process. When large amounts of poisoning agents are present, an optional triple junction may be ordered to help prolong the sensor life. Both models, in either the double or triple reference configuration, are made with an outer ceramic junction constructed in an annular design around the pH/ORP-sensitive membrane.

pH Sensor - Flow Through (320B)
The Rosemount Analytical Model 320B pH Sensor measures the pH of a flowing aqueous fluid. Typical applications include pH monitoring or control in boiler feed water, process water, chemical processes, municipal water treatment, and many other applications. The Model 330B measures oxidation reduction potential (ORP), and has applications in chromate waste treatment, bleaching operations, chemical processes and municipal water treatment. Depending on the application, the sensor may be installed directly in the process line or in a by-pass line.

ORP Sensor - Flow Through (330B)
The Rosemount Analytical Model 320B pH Sensor measures the pH of a flowing aqueous fluid. Typical applications include pH monitoring or control in boiler feed water, process water, chemical processes, municipal water treatment, and many other applications. The Model 330B measures oxidation reduction potential (ORP), and has applications in chromate waste treatment, bleaching operations, chemical processes and municipal water treatment. Depending on the application, the sensor may be installed directly in the process line or in a by-pass line.

The Rosemount Analytical Model 300 pH/ORP Sensor is designed to meet a wide variety of industrial applications. It has been specially designed for applications where the process cannot be shut down and a separate sample stream is difficult or impossible to provide. Paper pulp stock lines and reaction towers are typical applications.

pH Sensor - Fluoride Service (372)
PH measurement has historically been conducted using thin glass membrane electrodes that slowly dissolve in water, creating a pH sensitive surface layer. Some chemicals and/or conditions accelerate this dissolution process, causing the electrodes to become very fragile and prone to breakage. Examples include high temperatures, caustic exposure, steam exposure, and exposure to hydrofluoric acid. Hydrofluoric acid (HF) is commonly used to etch glass and chemically attacks the silicon-oxygen bonds that hold the glass matrix together.

The Rosemount Analytical Model 385 Retractable pH/ORP Sensor is designed to meet a wide variety of industrial applications. It has been specially designed for applications where the process cannot be shut down and a separate sample stream is difficult or impossible to provide. The Model 385 body is constructed with a standard titanium tube and Tefzel, allowing the sensor to be used in especially harsh applications such as bleach lines in paper mills.
